for Doctors Offices
Instructions For Doctors
Offices and users of DigitalScript software.
Learn how to install and use the DigitalScript program for
digital dictation and transcription management.
Downloading Dictations
1) When you are ready to download dictations place the recorder in
the docking cradle attached to the computer.
2) A dialogue box will pop up and ask if you want to download files
now. Select OK.
3) Files will be downloaded to your computer and temporarily stored
in Olympus DSS Folders.
4) When the files are downloaded the recorder is ready for further dictation.
5) The Iclient software should be running on your computer. It
will automatically sweep voice files from the DSS Folders and route them to
secure DigitalScript servers, where they will be routed to transcriptionist
within seconds.
Iclient is the software that transports voice files
from your computer to DigitalScript servers where they are routed to
transcriptionist. There are typically two users of Iclient: the
doctor and/or the doctor's assistant. An assistant has the ability
to manage different affiliates and can choose whether or not voice capture
requires a recorder id, or not. An assistant login allows multiple
users to download voice files on the same computer without changing the login. Owners
of voice files are recognized by the recorder Id, or by doctor login. Voice
files uploaded while logged in as a doctor will force all voice files to be
recognized as files originating with that doctor id.
If Iclient is not already set up on your computer please contact Sales
Rep, or DigitalScript.
Uploading Voice Files
1) Double click on the Iclient Icon on your desktop and enter your
ID and password.
2) Iclient should be running in the background on your computer so
files will upload whenever a recorder is docked. History,
logs and setup are available from this screen.
3) If logged in as an assistant the affiliate and doctor can be
changed by clicking on the lower, bottom right
names.
4) When dictations are complete simply place the recorder in the
docking cradle attached to your PC.
5) A dialogue box will pop up and ask you if you want to
“Download from the detected device?” Click OK and all voice
files on the recorder will be removed and downloaded onto your PC into
DigitalScript folders. Voice files will reside there until they are
swept and uploaded to the server by Iclient.
